Senior DBA Engineer (24/7 on-call support)

As the Senior DBA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of our company’s databases. This position requires strong technical expertise in database administration, along with exceptional leadership skills to oversee a team of DBA engineers. Additionally, this role involves providing 24/7 on-call support to accommodate the company’s shifted time schedule.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in database administration, with a focus on relational databases such as Oracle and Postgres.
• Proficiency in SQL scripting and query optimization techniques.
• Availability to participate in an on-call duty, out of working hours, 2-weeks shifted schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Good understanding of database architecture principles, including replication, clustering, and high availability configurations.
• Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members across different time zones.
