DevOps engineer (REQ/166)

Project Overview:

We are seeking a skilled German-speaking DevOps for the project we are currently undertaking for a major player in the automotive industry. The project involves migrating a large-scale system from a monolithic architecture to a new cloud-based environment. The ideal candidate should have prior experience with system migrations and supporting complex systems.

Customer Overview:

Our client, is a business partner we have been working with for an extended period of time, a German software provider with an international presence, specializing in the optimization of business processes. Their primary focus is on serving clients in the Automotive and discrete manufacturing industries.

DevOps, AWS, Kubernetes, Cobol, Automation

Skills/Requirements:

Required tech skills:

You have experience in the cloud technologies Kubernetes and Docker
You are a professional in the AWS cloud platform and its services and are familiar with AWS EKS (Kubernetes), AWS EC2, AWS RDS, AWS EBS, EFS, AWS S3 Storage, VPC (Virtual Private Cloud), Route53 (DNS).
You have good know-how in CI/CD pipelines and are familiar with proven security practices in cloud computing.
Programming is one of your passions, even if it will not be your main task.
You are familiar with the working methods in agile teams and you like to bring ideas into the team.

Required soft skills:

Excellent communication skills to actively seek clarification from teammates and contribute to problem-solving.
Ability to adapt to the team’s way of working and hours and work collaboratively with colleagues.
Demonstrated reliability by being punctual for appointments and completing tasks on time.
Open-mindedness towards learning new technologies and ways of working, as well as being receptive to learning from others.
Willingness to assist colleagues with blockers and work together as a team to solve issues.
Ability to balance suggesting improvements with the understanding that processes may have erns, guide code, etc.
German is a must
